Mexican Cruise

In May 2007, Jeremy and I took a 5 day cruise to Mexico for our 2nd wedding anniversary.  We had a blast!!  This was our second cruise to go on - our fist was a 7 day Honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean.  We left out of New Orleans and cruised to Costa Maya, Cancun, and Cozumel.  We love these vacations together because there are no distractions and we can spend all day and all night together - just the two of us.
We had planned to start trying for a baby on the cruise, little did we know just how fertile I would be.  I thought it would take us a few months to get pregnant but, it happened the first month we tried!!  We are so lucky and continually thank God for blessing us with fertility. Of course, I didn't know it then, but we did get pregnant on the cruise or soon before or after.

Wedding Day

Jeremy and I were married on May 28, 2005 at St. Joseph's Cathedral in downtown Baton Rouge.  It was a beautiful wedding and our wedding day was one of the best days of my life! We were so lucky to have celebrated with so many family members and friends.  The wedding itself went by so quickly, and the reception seemed to go by even faster.  I am so glad that we have pictures like these below and a video to help us remember all that went on that day.

Jeremy and I were married for 2 years before we started to try and have a baby.  Those years gave us time to settle into married life and to travel and do things together as husband and wife.  We made some great memories and I am so thankful that we were able to have that time alone together.  It strengthened our relationship and allowed us to feel ready to start a family when the time was right for us.  I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful husband - he is my best friend and I look forward to happily ever after!

A new blog

I started a blog, The Daily Skup, in September of 2008 when Molly Kate was almost 7 months old.  A lot of my mommy friends were blogging and I thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with long distance family and friends and a great way to document Molly Kate's milestones.  We also bought a new Nikon D8O camera that takes awesome pictures, and since I had so many great pictures to share, I thought I'd put them on a blog.  I have really enjoyed blogging and found myself wishing many times that I had started a blog earlier in Molly Kate's life.  So, since I can't go backwards on The Daily Skup blog, I have decided to create this new blog to start from the beginning and work my way through Molly Kate's first 6 months of life.  This blog is meant to be a baby record book of sorts - or at least my memories of Molly Kate's first hours, days, and months.  I know I won't be able to remember everything we felt, or all that happened during her first 6 months but I can blog about the important and big things.  Here's how it all started!!
